Product Description
The Papyrus Converter provides the necessary migration means to effectively migrate from various document management systems like DOPiX, Assentis, MS-Word, etc. The converter performs migrations at the source code level and extracts information from the original document definitions such as text, global resources, but also identifiers for building blocks, descriptions and business logic, and brings it all to Papyrus, automatically converting content to Papyrus Correspondence building blocks in the central library. It is suitable for single or mass document migrations and keeps track of the already completed items to convert only the content that has not yet been migrated. Already migrated content is reused for optimal maintenance of shared resources. Naming conventions are retained, and the converted content immediately made available in the Papyrus Business Designer, so users can start working with the new system with ease. The tool automates more than 80%, with only a fraction of work left to be done manually. This part is becoming less and less as the tool is able to understand new structures and benefit from the reusability of existing items. It integrates with the Papyrus Test Center to manage test cases centrally. The Test Center can be freely structured to optimize document test iterations and cut down the overall testing effort. With Papyrus Adapters the needed test data can be seamlessly integrated with existing business applications or legacy systems.
Papyrus Converter builds on the Papyrus Business Correspondence Solution and is delivered as ready-to-use framework for Papyrus WebRepository installations. Consulting services are available for Converter enhancements and extensions.
