Papyrus Certified Professionals may use their personal certificate and official certification logo to promote their qualification.

You can obtain one certification module per date. The application fee for each certification is EUR 600/USD 800.

Renewal of certifications
The Papyrus Platform is a dynamically developing system. Therefore, it is essential that Papyrus professionals keep their knowledge of the platform's improvements and extensions up to date through the certification renewal every three years.

Submit your Papyrus-specific project CV
Cover the three years since your previous certification describing your productive Papyrus applications where you played a key role in its design and implementation. These applications serve as proof for your professional experience in the module-specific area. -
Learn about new features of recent Papyrus releases
After registration you will be provided with documentation to acquire the necessary knowledge through self-study on the basis of the official Papyrus documentation. - During the recertification exam, you must be able to apply new Papyrus functionalities, which have been added to the Papyrus platform in the last three years.

Module DD: Certified Papyrus Document Designer
Goals:
- Understanding of AFPDS and AFP-Triplets, PPFA (OGL, PAGEDEF/FORMDEF), page segments/images, AFP-fonts, resolutions and codepages
- Reading of different input data formats (linemode, ASCII/EBCDIC, DJDE, SAP, XML, etc.)
- Complex dynamic DOCDEF document application design, charts, tables, text formatting, logic definitions
- Papyrus Client AFP viewing

- Defining workflows: task, tool, material, queues, routing rules
- Papyrus settings concept
- User authorization through role and policy

Module CA: Certified Papyrus Capture Engineer
Goals:
- Planning and implementation of Papyrus Document Capture Solutions
- Understanding scanning and imaging technologies (TIFF, JPG, BMP; quality criteria, OCR/ICR)
- Knowledge about forms and document layouts optimized for document capture
- Analysis of complex inbound documents and capture strategy definition
- Design of classification and extraction definitions with Papyrus Capture Designer and Business Designer
- Implementation of Capture validation rules using Depot or databases
- Usage of Papyrus Client Capture applications
