ISIS Papyrus - Company Background
ISIS Papyrus, www.isis-papyrus.com, is a global document
automation/document management company with its international
operations headquarters in Vienna, Austria. It has pioneered
the concept of enterprise Document Integration™, the
simplified process of managing all paper/electronic inbound
and outbound business documents. ISIS Papyrus’ products
create a custom Document Switchboard™ that enables
creating, producing and distributing through every available
print and electronic channel, information-rich and personalized
customer communications and other business documents as well
as capturing, processing, and archiving of received business
documents. The company’s applications address a major
cost and productivity factor for all businesses and organizations.
The privately held company is today the leading developer
of corporate business document solutions in Europe and Asia,
with a solid but still growing presence in the US. ISIS Papyrus’ software
solutions are developed for enterprise-level, mission-critical
business document applications. These include customer care,
customer relationship management, bank statement applications,
insurance documents, telecom bills, airline frequent flyer
statements, credit card statements, customer correspondence,
invoice processing, and health care applications. The company
has 2000 customers worldwide generating revenues in 2002
of US$65 million.
Using the Papyrus Document System, an authorized business
user can easily create a customer communication document
that combines text, data, and sophisticated graphics in black
and white or full color. Moreover, once the document is created,
it can be distributed both in hard copy form and electronically
without additional coding. The system creates an Electronic
Original that can also be electronically signed for archiving.
Papyrus Document System goes beyond document automation.
The system addresses the complete document lifespan – Inbound,
Outbound, workflow and archiving. It is the only enterprise
document integration software on the market that is truly
platform, target and printer independent. All other software
vendors require additional process steps to regenerate documents
for different targets and third-party products to enable
integration and workflow. The Inbound components utilize
Machine Learning technology that allows variable documents
to be scanned, classified and business data extracted for
indexing, workflow and archiving by training the software,
rather than complex rule coding.
ISIS Papyrus solutions are available for IBM z/OS, AIX,
HP/UX, Solaris, and all MS-Windows platforms and support
all industry standard printer languages and interfaces. The
software also supports ALL international languages and code
pages, including right-to-left Hebrew and Arabic text, as
well as Chinese, Korean and Japanese writing styles.
The company was founded in 1988 in Vienna by Max and Annemarie
Pucher. Annemarie manages worldwide Sales and Marketing,
and Max is CEO and leads the group’s R&D labs around
the world. Max and Annemarie envisioned that the company
would be global in its reach from the start. ISIS Papyrus’ products
quickly became the market and technology leader in the major
European and Asian markets. The ISIS Papyrus Group, with
240 employees today, now has four development and support
centers, 12 subsidiaries, and a distribution network in 42
countries. The group has been very profitable since its foundation
years, has no outside investors and finances all its development,
corporate assets and growth from cash flow.
The USA subsidiary was incorporated in Texas in 1992 but
due to the company’s growth in Europe and Asia, the
US market became an important focus only in the late 1990s.
With the opening of its USA headquarters and training facility
in Southlake, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth) -- entirely self-financed
-- ISIS Papyrus is poised to become a major player in the
US market. In addition to its own customer channel – consisting
exclusively of sales consultants – ISIS Papyrus also
sells products through a partnership with IBM. One product,
IBM’s InfoPrint Designer, was developed by ISIS Papyrus
exclusively for IBM and it’s AS400 customers.
