@Work Technologies Form Alliance
to Provide Advanced Internet Billing Solution.
Vendors to cooperate on adding electronic commerce
capabilities to billing systems.
ISIS Papyrus (Colleyville, TX) and @Work Technologies
(New York, NY) announced that they have formed a strategic
alliance to simplify the integration of Document Design
and Internet Billing Technology. As part of the alliance,
the two companies have defined a standard bill-data
interface between the ISIS Papyrus Document System and
@Work's WorkOut system.
The Papyrus Document System provides unsurpassed functionality
for the design, production and management of business-critical
documents, such as bills, which are among the most important
documents that any business delivers to its customers.
Using well accepted architectures and standards, full
support for all Middle East and Asia Pacific languages
and codepages is provided while being completely printer
and operating system independent.
WorkOut is an innovative software product that securely
distributes high volumes of computer-generated bills
over the Internet. The interface between Papyrus and
WorkOut will makes it possible to distribute the designed
and formatted bills by WorkOut as HTML Web pages and
richly formatted HTML or plain text electronic mail
messages. Consequently, ISIS Papyrus users can now offer
their customers the convenience and cost savings of
Internet billing. Moreover, since WorkOut supports the
Open Financial Exchange Bill Presentment (OFX-PRES)
standard defined by Microsoft, Intuit and CheckFree,
ISIS users can be confident that their billing systems
will be compatible with exciting new on-line banking
and electronic commerce applications.
